John goes to presbytery
I will be in Seattle on October 1st for a quarterly presbytery meeting. This is a gathering of the pastors from the PCA churches in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Without exception, our presbytery meetings are a time of fellowship, encouragement, sharing notes, prayer, learning about each other’s churches, trying out local restaurants, making fun of the host church’s interior decorating, . . . and doing a little business.
At this meeting, I’ll will be giving a report on life here at Faith Presbyterian Church. I’ll be sharing about Karen and the kids and I becoming Alaskans, summer camping and clamming and fishing, our new Tanglewood worship space, new childhood ministry, missionary visits, steak potlucks, answers to prayers, my installation service, a wedding, a baptism, etc., etc.!
Essentially, this is a time to let our brothers and sisters around our presbytery know what is happening at the PCA church ‘up North.’ Would you care to help?
What would you like other churches in our presbytery to know about us? I’ll be give a 10-minute report and distribute a single-page printed summary. Leave a comment below and I’ll quote you, replacing your name with, “A mysterious Faith PCA attendee says . . .”
If you’ve worshipped at Faith PCA, leave your name and a comment below.
Thanks, John
